Through Telescopes

Observatory on Metzerott Road open house on 5 and 20 of each month.
- Every Monday that is not a federal holiday the U.S. Naval Observatory
(USNO) in Northwest Washington, D.C. (off Massachusetts Avenue) has a
public
night, except when the USA government envolves the military in warfare.
The
tour includes orientation on the USNO's mission, viewing of operating
atomic
clocks, and glimpses through the finest optical telescopes in the
National

- Exploring the Sky is held in the Rock Creek Park near
the Nature Center planetarium
